Kim Hanna, President of TransGlobal Inspections, has been elected as the new President of the International Cotton Association (ICA). She is the first woman to hold this position in the ICA’s history. She will be assisted by Mohomed Bashir and Pierre Chehab as Vice-Presidents.
The ICA also welcomed Chris Williams and Josh Taylor as new board members. The election took place at the ICA’s annual meeting in Singapore.
Kim expressed her gratitude and honor for being the first female president. She said she wanted to inspire others to join the cotton industry and to promote diversity and inclusion. She also shared her vision for the ICA, which involves addressing the challenges of climate change, currency shortages, market volatility, and social and environmental legislation.
She said she wanted to create an inclusive environment where all sectors of the supply chain can work together.
